BURBERRY ARRIVES AT HÔTEL BELLES RIVES FOR AN UNFORGETTABLE SUMMER ON THE FRENCH RIVIERA
Luxury fashion house Burberry brings its unmistakable British heritage to the Côte d’Azur through an exclusive summer takeover of Hôtel Belles Rives, its iconic beach club and legendary terraces, available through September 30, 2026.
ANTIBES, FRANCE – May 12, 2026 – This summer, Burberry and Hôtel Belles Rives unite to create an exceptional Riviera experience where British elegance meets Mediterranean glamour. Set against the sparkling waters of Cap d’Antibes, the collaboration transforms one of the French Riviera’s most storied addresses into a destination infused with Burberry’s timeless spirit of adventure.
A celebrated summer retreat, Hôtel Belles Rives has long been associated with the artistic and literary figures who shaped the early twentieth century, including Ernest Hemingway and Gertrude Stein. The property is perhaps best known as the former home of F. Scott Fitzgerald, where the acclaimed author began writing Tender Is the Night (1934), a novel whose protagonist notably wears a Burberry coat.
Burberry’s connection to the outdoors and life by the water dates back to its founding. Thomas Burberry built the brand on innovation designed to embrace the elements, and throughout the first half of the twentieth century, the House created specialist garments and sailing attire for those spending time on or near the water. This legacy continues with the Burberry Summer 2026 collection, featuring signature check swimwear and coastal-inspired motifs influenced by the brand’s enduring spirit of exploration.
For the season, Burberry reimagines the hotel’s distinctive Art Deco glamour through its own creative lens. The House’s iconic check has been redesigned in Hôtel Belles Rives’ signature blue, creating a bespoke visual identity that appears throughout the property. From elegant interiors to the hotel’s original 1920s elevator, the motif brings a refined sense of summer sophistication. Custom branding also extends to the private jetty and the entrances of the beach club.
Guests are invited to enjoy exclusive Burberry ice creams on the hotel’s renowned terrace or take in panoramic Riviera sunsets from the Fitzgerald Bar terrace. Throughout the summer, a curated programme of Burberry experiences will also be available, including water skiing, a sport believed to have originated in the bay.
