The Highest Indoor and Outdoor Observation Deck in the Western Hemisphere Introduces Seven New Immersive Environments Including New York’s Largest Kaleidoscope
NEW YORK, June 2026 Tickets are now on sale for the next evolution of Edge NYC, the highest indoor and outdoor observation deck in the Western Hemisphere. Opening on June 11, 2026, the landmark destination at Hudson Yards will debut an entirely new permanent indoor immersive experience designed to transform the visitor journey long before guests step onto its iconic outdoor sky deck.
Set against one of the most spectacular views of New York City, the reimagined experience introduces seven multisensory environments that celebrate the city through light, color, reflection, movement, and sound. At its center is New York’s largest kaleidoscope, a breathtaking two level installation composed of 200 rotating kinetic mirrors that continuously reshape visitors’ perceptions of the city around them.
Blending immersive storytelling, experiential design, and architectural spectacle, the new experience invites visitors to discover New York in ways never seen before.
Seven New Immersive Experiences
Designed to engage visitors in every season and in all weather conditions, the new indoor environments create a journey that evolves throughout the day, responding to changing light conditions and guest interactions.
Prism
The experience begins within a constantly evolving visual universe where images of New York are refracted into an ever changing landscape of colors, patterns, and perspectives.
Pulse
More than 350 luminous spheres surround visitors in a living canvas of light. Their colors continuously shift and react to movement, creating unique pulses of white light that ensure no two experiences are ever the same.
Skyrise
Guests experience the sensation of ascending 100 stories above Manhattan in less than one minute through a fully immersive elevator experience combining dynamic visuals, sound, and motion inspired by the energy of New York.
Crystal Cave
Visitors pass beneath a soaring 7.6 meter archway of monumental crystal formations that capture and refract light into vivid rainbows projected across the floor as they move through the installation.
Infinite City
Inspired by New York’s iconic skyscrapers, 18 monumental illuminated columns feature mirrored and translucent surfaces that reflect the skyline while responding to visitor movement through waves of color and sound.
Reflections
A kinetic sculpture composed of 200 rotating mirrored surfaces creates an ever changing environment where interactive lighting effects appear to follow visitors throughout their journey.
Kaleidoscope
A series of monumental kaleidoscopic chambers culminates in New York’s largest kaleidoscope, where light, color, and reflection continuously transform around visitors. Adjacent spaces feature evolving visual patterns, interactive elements, and dedicated photo opportunities that change throughout the day.
Beyond the Skyline
Already celebrated for its dramatic outdoor observation deck suspended 1,131 feet above New York City, Edge offers unparalleled 360 degree views of Manhattan and beyond. The new indoor experience expands the destination beyond the panoramic view, creating an immersive environment that evolves according to the time of day, visitor movement, and natural light conditions.
To bring this ambitious vision to life, Hudson Yards Experiences collaborated with internationally acclaimed experiential design and entertainment studios including Moment Factory, Journey, and SOFTlab.
A New Culinary and Hospitality Experience
The transformation of Edge also introduces the new Skyline Bar and Café by Tao Group Hospitality.
Created by Ralph Scamardella, the menu features elevated interpretations of New York favorites including smoked mini bagels, babka fingers, Wagyu hot dogs, mini cannoli, and other locally inspired specialties.
The 557 square meter event and hospitality space above Edge has also been completely reimagined, drawing inspiration from Manhattan’s iconic Art Deco architecture. The enhanced hospitality offerings include a refreshed Peak with Priceless, the new Avenue Sky Lounge, and the seasonal return of Marquee Skydeck at Edge.
