Giorgio Armani’s 72 Metre Superyacht “Metamorphosis” Launched in Italy Ahead of Monaco Yacht Show 2025
On 7 May 2025, The Italian Sea Group unveiled Metamorphosis, a 72 metre superyacht entirely designed by Giorgio Armani, at its Marina di Carrara facility in Italy. This launch marks the first of two bespoke vessels born from the collaboration between the renowned fashion designer and the esteemed shipyard. Metamorphosis is set to make its official debut at the Monaco Yacht Show in September 2025.
A Fusion of Fashion and Maritime Engineering
Metamorphosis represents a harmonious blend of Armani’s minimalist aesthetic and The Italian Sea Group’s technical expertise. The yacht’s exterior showcases geometric volumes juxtaposed with curved surfaces, finished in satin gold aluminium and steel. Floor-to-ceiling windows and flush decks create a seamless connection between interior and exterior spaces, enhancing the vessel’s sculptural presence.
Interior Elegance by Armani/Casa
The interiors, crafted by Armani/Casa, reflect the designer’s signature style clean lines, refined materials, and understated luxury. Materials such as Black Marquinia marble, golden Calacatta, and Canaletto walnut are complemented by custom lighting and mirrored surfaces. The yacht accommodates up to 14 guests across seven staterooms and includes amenities like a cinema, spa, gym, and a 93-square-metre aft event platform.
