ABOUT FOUNDER

GRABUS Diamonds was founded by Lejla Grabus Burić, a diamond gemologist and jewelry designer from Bosnia and Herzegovina. Since 2016, guided by life circumstances, Lejla has had the chance to live in Poland and Israel, and take advantage of life opportunities there. Lejla holds a Masters degree since 2013 in Economics and is currently a Ph.D. candidate in Business and Management. In Poland, where she lived for three years, she worked in the branch of trade for an international company Amica Trade and Marketing (subsidiary Amica Group). By moving to Israel her life took a totally different dimension.

Lejla was trained as a gemologist at the Center of Gemological Studies (CGS) in Tel Aviv, the most reputable gemological school in the Israel Diamond Center. There, she gained the best professional knowledge and practical skills in grading and classifying diamonds according to the GIA (Gemological Institute of America) and their terminology. Following her training at CGS, she proceeded to work as a diamond gemologist at one of the world’s largest diamond centers: the Israel Diamond Exchange. Everyday work and experience in grading diamonds, as well as learning state of the jewelry crafting methods from world’s foremost handcraftsmanship masters, helped Lejla to transform her love and passion for diamonds, into beautiful pieces of sophisticated diamond jewelry. Lejla’s multi-faceted education and general flair for creativity and design took her again to her second home in Poznan (Poland), where she launched GRABUS Diamonds.
