Oppenheim Architecture to be ingeniously integrated into the landscape, the resort’s villas

include those that seem to hang from rock pinnacles and others that are built into the

Ideal at any time of year, Desert Rock welcomes guests with an average annual

temperature of 32 °C, and is conveniently located just a 20-minute drive from Red Sea

International Airport (RSI) and a 30-minute drive from the Red Sea coast.

Accommodations immersed in the rocky landscapes

Arrival at Desert Rock is unlike arriving anywhere else. At first, guests may not even notice

that they have arrived. Approached through the desert where camels graze roadside, the

resort is hidden among the vast, curved rocks that enclose it, creating a protected,

grounding sanctuary that sprawls over 30,000 square meters of raw nature. Oppenheim

Architecture has created accommodations that immerse guests directly into the

environment. Interiors by Studio Paolo Ferrari complement rather than compete with the

natural setting, striking a balance between respecting the ancient past while looking to the

Future, using elemental materials like stone and sand softened by custom-made furniture

and lighting reminiscent of torchlight.

Whether they blend into the valley or perch high on the mountain, each of the resort’s 64

villas feels like part of the landscape and comes with its own private pool. Wadi Villas are

perfect for family escapes, with plenty of indoor and outdoor space. Cliff Hanging Villas

embrace the drama of the resort, built into the side of the mountain, filled with natural light

and with extraordinary views over the surrounding desertscape. Mountain Cave Suites peer

out over the resort, ingeniously integrated into the massif itself with cliffside plunge pools.

Mountain Crevice Villas appear to defy gravity, held aloft by rock pinnacles with jaw-

dropping views and swimming pools that seem to hang in midair. And in a hidden part of

the resort, the Three-Bedroom Royal Villa offers complete privacy and seclusion.

Restaurants that blend traditional techniques with culinary innovations

Desert Rock’s six restaurants and bars focus on traditional techniques and culinary

innovations, all inspired by the resort’s dramatic setting. At Nyra, overseen by acclaimed

Turkish chef Osman Sezener, renowned for his pioneering farm-to-table cuisine and

Michelin-starred restaurants in Bodrum and Izmir, food focuses on the primal artistry of

wood-fired cooking, traditional smoking and curing, and careful sourcing, in a celebration of

the best of land and sea.

At Mica, mocktails inspired by Nyra’s culinary philosophy, creates an alchemic flavor

combinations that respect the raw essence of Desert Rock. Outdoor fire pits warm up chilly

evenings, and bar seating indoors brings the mixology action to the fore.

Modern Indian cuisine is on the menu at Basalt, where live music, dance and fire show

performances add a sense of theater to dinnertime. Poolside Wadi offers Peruvian flavors,

live DJ sets and an oasis-like mood that is perfect for long lazy lunches. Daytimes at The

Library focus on tea and coffee with spectacular mountain views, evolving into a sultry

space at night for smoky mocktails and jazz.

High above the resort, The Observatory is a hidden sanctuary on the massif and accessed

by a 120-meter suspension bridge. evenings revolve around exquisite pastries paired with

imaginative beverages, like the Planet Ispahan, an evolving mocktail with a rose ice ball

that changes flavor as it melts.

With treatments inspired by the desert, therapies based on ancient wellness wisdom, and

products from renowned wellness brands AMRA and Dr. Burgener, the spa at Desert Rock
