The Berlin fashion label and the iconic ice cream brand merge fashion, art and lifestyle in a playful collaboration unveiled during Basel’s international art week.

As luxury brands continue to blur the boundaries between fashion, culture and experiential marketing, Berlin-based fashion label Ottolinger and Magnum have joined forces to launch a limited-edition accessories collection inspired by the pleasures of summer. Unveiled during Basel’s highly anticipated art week, the collaboration marks a new chapter in Magnum’s growing engagement with the fashion world.

The capsule collection debuts with a sculptural Basket Bag inspired by Magnum’s latest flavour innovation, La Pistache. Retailing at €235, the piece combines Ottolinger’s signature deconstructed aesthetic with the soft pastel palette associated with the seasonal ice cream launch. The result is a collectible accessory that captures both brands’ playful yet elevated approach to contemporary design.

The collaboration expands with a second exclusive accessory designed specifically for the Swiss market, officially revealed on June 14 during Basel Social Club, one of the most dynamic cultural gatherings taking place alongside Art Basel. Both limited-edition pieces are available exclusively through Ottolinger’s online platform while supplies last.

Fashion Meets Art During Basel’s Most Anticipated Cultural Week

Now in its fifth edition, Basel Social Club has established itself as a key destination during Art Basel, transforming unconventional locations into immersive environments that blend contemporary art, performance, music, gastronomy and social interaction.

For 2026, the event occupies a vacant office building designed by renowned Swiss architecture firm Diener & Diener, located just steps from Basel’s central railway station. It is within this unique setting that Ottolinger and Magnum have created an immersive installation inspired by the concept of being “Out of Office.”

A former office space has been reimagined into a whimsical experiential environment featuring a bubblegum-pink inflatable installation and a custom Magnum Spray Bar, where visitors can create personalised ice cream creations throughout the week. The experience reflects both brands’ shared interest in transforming everyday moments into memorable cultural encounters.

Adding another layer to the visual storytelling, staff members wear Ottolinger designs alongside the collaborative accessories, whose colour palettes draw inspiration from Magnum’s new summer flavours, La Pistache and La Pêche.

According to Ottolinger founders Christa Bösch and Cosima Gadient, the collection was influenced by memories of childhood summers spent in Switzerland, bringing a sense of nostalgia and playful escapism to the project.

Extending the Experience Beyond Fashion

The partnership extends beyond product design and installation art. Magnum is also supporting a special club night hosted by Ottolinger and House of Intuition on June 17 in a multi-level parking structure in Basel.

The event will feature performances by electronic music artist Coucou Chloé alongside Basel-born talent Paxslim, as well as Lil Glee, Manuka Honey and Ayshat, reinforcing the collaboration’s connection to contemporary culture and emerging creative communities.

Magnum’s Growing Presence in Fashion and Luxury Culture

The Ottolinger collaboration forms part of Magnum’s broader global platform, The House of Magnum, through which the brand is increasingly positioning itself at the intersection of fashion, culture and lifestyle.

Earlier this year, Magnum further signalled its ambitions in the luxury space by presenting its first-ever fashion show during the Cannes Film Festival, demonstrating how lifestyle brands are leveraging cultural relevance and creative partnerships to engage new audiences.

With its latest collaboration, Magnum continues to move beyond traditional consumer marketing, embracing fashion as a vehicle for storytelling, desirability and cultural conversation while Ottolinger once again proves its ability to translate artistic experimentation into highly collectible design.
