Clara Chehab Fine Jewellery: The Art of Colour, Natural Gemstones and Contemporary Luxury

Discover how fine jewellery designer Clara Chehab transforms the raw beauty of gemstones into distinctive 18-karat gold creations, blending organic forms, vibrant colours and personal storytelling to redefine contemporary luxury.
The Brand: A Distinctive Vision of Fine Jewellery
What makes a piece of fine jewellery truly personal? For Clara Chehab, it is the meeting of natural beauty, artistic intuition and emotion. Her eponymous brand, launched in Paris in March 2023, approaches jewellery as a form of expression: each creation brings together precious materials, distinctive gemstones and sculptural forms to create pieces with their own character.

Working primarily with 18-karat gold, diamonds and colourful gemstones, Chehab has developed an aesthetic defined by contrasts. Raw stones meet faceted gems; irregular silhouettes sit alongside polished gold; and unexpected combinations of colour bring a sense of movement to each design. Rather than concealing the natural irregularities of a gemstone, she celebrates its inclusions, textures and individual shape. These characteristics give every piece a distinctive personality, while the recurring half-moon motif provides a recognisable signature across the collections.
Nature is a constant source of inspiration. Tourmalines, aquamarines, peridots, garnets, amethysts, citrines, sapphires and other precious stones introduce an expressive palette ranging from vivid greens and pinks to deep reds, luminous blues and warm amber tones. Diamonds add brilliance and definition, creating a balance between the strength of the stones and the elegance of the finished design.
This interplay between colour, texture and form is central to the brand. The result is contemporary fine jewellery that feels individual rather than uniform, combining the sophistication of precious materials with the organic character of the natural world.
Five Collections, Five Personalities
The Gaia collection explores nature in its most immediate and untamed form. Inspired by the birth of Chehab’s son and her renewed connection with Mother Earth, it celebrates raw gemstones, organic textures and vibrant colours. Black, pink, watermelon and green tourmalines appear alongside imperial topaz, aquamarine, sapphire, ruby and emerald. The stones take centre stage, allowing their natural variations to shape the character of each creation.
With Sienna, the colour palette takes on a different dimension. Associated with the birth of her daughter, the collection combines bright green peridot with brown quartz, rose quartz, amethyst, rhodolite, sapphire and morganite. Contrasting hues and textures create a softer, nuanced expression of the brand’s aesthetic, demonstrating how a familiar design language can evolve through different combinations of gemstones.
The Irene collection explores themes of family, memory and continuity. Created during a period marked by personal loss and the discovery of a new pregnancy, it reflects the relationship between remembrance and new beginnings. Citrine, peridot, garnet, rhodolite, ruby, sapphire, amethyst and rainbow moonstone contribute to a rich palette of colours and textures. The collection brings an emotional dimension to fine jewellery without losing sight of the artistry and individuality of each piece.
Liberté places personalisation at the heart of the experience. Conceived around charms that can be combined and worn in different ways, the collection invites each wearer to create a composition that reflects her own story. Amethyst, watermelon tourmaline and peridot feature in miniature half-moon designs, while a distinctive protective thread sweeps across cabochon gemstones framed by pavé diamonds. Playful yet refined, Liberté offers a more individual approach to luxury, in which the meaning of a piece can develop over time.
Everyday Essentials brings this expressive aesthetic into daily life. Designed with a younger audience in mind, the capsule combines vivid pink, watermelon and green tourmalines with aquamarine, citrine and garnet. Raw and faceted stones are set in 18-karat gold, creating colourful pieces intended to be worn beyond special occasions. The collection reflects a contemporary understanding of fine jewellery: precious, carefully crafted and distinctive, yet versatile enough to become part of a personal everyday wardrobe.
Craftsmanship, Responsibility and International Ambitions
Behind the finished jewellery lies a close relationship between design and craftsmanship. Each creation begins with the selection of individual stones, whose shapes, colours and textures help determine the direction of the design. Skilled artisans then bring the designer’s vision to life, working with precious metals and gemstones to achieve the balance between organic irregularity and refined finish that defines the brand.
Responsible production is also part of the brand’s stated approach. Clara Chehab Fine Jewellery says it uses recycled gold in its creations to help reduce waste and environmental impact. The brand also emphasises transparent supplier relationships, integrity, respect for craftsmanship and a considered approach to growth. These principles complement its broader values of environmental consciousness, harmony, open-mindedness and emotional connection.
Since its launch, the brand has begun establishing an international retail presence. Stockists include Macle Jewel in Beirut, Gin & The Banker in the United States and Meister in Zurich, alongside other retail partners listed by the brand. Its work has also reached the cultural sphere through a collaboration with Beirut’s Sursock Museum. In 2025, Clara Chehab was shortlisted in the jewellery category for the Fashion Trust Arabia Awards, marking another milestone in the development of the label.
The ambition is to build a recognisable international brand without losing the individuality that gives its creations their appeal. Through a consistent design language, expressive gemstones and a focus on craftsmanship, Clara Chehab offers a vision of luxury that values character as much as preciousness.

The Woman Behind the Brand: Clara Chehab
Behind this distinctive approach to fine jewellery is a designer whose professional journey took an unexpected turn. Born in Paris and raised between Paris and Beirut, Clara Chehab grew up between two cultural environments. Her interest in jewellery began early, shaped by childhood visits to goldsmiths with her paternal grandmother. Those encounters introduced her to the artistry of jewellery-making and left a lasting impression, nurturing a fascination that would eventually become her profession.
Despite this early passion, Chehab initially pursued a career in corporate finance and banking in London. She spent years in a demanding professional environment, building a successful career before deciding that her interest in jewellery could no longer remain a personal dream.
In 2018, aged 34, she took a decisive step towards a different future by undertaking an internship with jeweller Selim Mouzannar. The experience allowed her to gain practical insight into the craft and begin developing the technical knowledge needed to translate her ideas into finished pieces. It marked an important transition from the world of finance to the creative and highly skilled discipline of fine jewellery.
Her own brand launched in Paris in March 2023, bringing together the influences that had accompanied her throughout her life: an early fascination with jewellery, an appreciation of gemstones, a sensitivity to colour and a desire to create objects that carry personal meaning. Her experiences as a mother have also shaped her creative journey, inspiring collections that reflect different stages of life and the relationships that matter most to her.
Chehab’s background informs her perspective, including her childhood between Paris and Beirut and her connection to her Lebanese heritage. This personal history is one part of a broader creative identity, alongside her international outlook and her commitment to working with artisans whose skills help bring her designs to life.
Across her collections, personal experiences are translated into material, colour and form rather than expressed through literal storytelling. A gemstone’s irregularity becomes a celebration of individuality; a combination of colours can evoke a mood or memory; and a charm can become a personal symbol chosen by its wearer. Jewellery becomes a way to preserve meaning while remaining open to new interpretations.
For Chehab, the relationship between a piece and the person who wears it is as important as its visual impact. Her designs bring together strength and softness, natural textures and refined finishes, creating jewellery intended to inspire confidence and self-expression.
In a luxury landscape where individuality increasingly matters, Clara Chehab’s work offers a distinctive proposition. Her creations are rooted in the beauty of gemstones and the precision of craftsmanship, but their appeal extends beyond the materials themselves. Each piece offers an opportunity to wear colour, express personality and carry a story forward.
